Best Buddy and Alison

First, let me follow up on my last post. “Vast telling” means “advertisement” because the purpose of an advertisement is to tell information and convince vast target audiences.

The school club is always the hotspot for students. Students with the same interests get together to have fun. I enjoyed every moment in the Best Buddy group, a group that helped me to make friends even though I had problems socializing. I did not have any friends in China at school. But a young woman named Alison became my best buddy in high school. We shared fun experiences, like two years ago, before Halloween, when she took me to the Halloween store that is only open for business right before Halloween. We went out skating, bowling, and other fun stuff. People around me accepted me as who I am. Yet, in China, I had always been considered awkward. This social club was based around the wonderful concept that showing respect to people who have special needs is supporting others as well.

Alison was amazing. She had two part-time jobs. She played volleyball and went for training once a week, driving there even though it was three hours away. She had to finish her homework during the work break. This would never happen in China. Students don’t work until they graduate from college. Students in the United States are more independent. I got a driver’s license two years ago, and it made me feel stronger than my peers in China.

I know what you mean. I was an Austrian studying abroad, and I know having even one really good friend makes all the difference!
